Maintanence

The bamboo is treated with a 1-year varnish and is naturally resistant to rot and infestation. However bamboo does age and gray. To preserve the color of the wood, we recommend using a 7-year marine grade varnish. Once the bamboo achieves the color desired (if aging is desired) it should be revarnished. After that it should be revarnished every 5 years with the 7-year marine grade varnish.
